Kuha Harmony
tradition in the yard
The yard
connects you to the past

The old courtyard of Kuha consists of four main buildings built in the 19th century (we own three of them), a stable and outbuildings. A little further away, less thean two hundred meters away, is a log house built in 1925 in its own courtyard.
In our yard you will find horses, sheep, chickens, a rabbit, cats and dogs.
At the stables, you can get to know the animals, try horse riding on a lighted field, and take guided tours of the surrounding area.
The stable's operations are guided by its position in the historic courtyard: all activities in the stable and the surroundings are carried out with respect for the old village life, the animals and the landscape. for example, horses and sheep graze nearby fields in the summer, thus restoring the traditioneal rural landscape. The goal is that the old meadow plants return to the pasture meadow and the landscape expands to resemble the village landscape that has already been left behind.
The horse activities involve sure-footed and reliable Icelandic horses, which even beginners can use to get acquainted with horse riding, and if they wish, they can also try faster riding.
We have you in the countryside
We offer activities in our yard that suit our lifestyle throughout the year: Animal care from summer grazing and lambing to winter happy yard life with both horses and sheep. Our horse riding trips in the surrounding area change their colors from summer green to autumn colorful and winter blue. In summer there is always enough ligt to go fishing on the nearby Kuhajärvi and if you get tired you can stay in the idyllic peltola or our shore barn.
